July

July

Well, it's been a while.

I sit watching Poltergeist, with headphones on my belly. Today, Wilson gets to listen to the "Calm Meditation" station on Pandora. We are 19 weeks pregnant and Wilson is the baby. We find out what Wilson actually is this Thursday, the 25th.

Pregnancy Questionnaire

How far along: 19 weeks, 1 day

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Not exactly sure of this, but not much actually! Thanks to being very nauseous since week 6...

Maternity clothes: Yes. LOVE my maternity yoga pants/leggings. Still can wear t-shirts which is my wardrobe staple.

Stretch marks: Didn't really get many from Stella so don't expect much from Wilson.

Sleep: What's that? Having really bad anxiety so pop a Tylenol PM before bedtime to get some actual z's. Doctor called Tylenol/Tylenol PM "benign" so it's okay to take.

Best moment last week: Getting to see Dr. Holmes at my monthly appt. and hear Wilson on the Doppler. {heart rate: 156} Get to find out what baby is this Thursday!!!

Movement: Big movement-much like someone is actually pressing on my uterus but not as often as I would like. I didn't feel Stella until I was 23-24 weeks, hoping I feel more regularity before then.

Food cravings: fruit! Especially melon: cantaloupe and watermelon. Beans. Anything that isn't chocolate or involve meat.

Gender: Don't know yet, THURSDAY! Gender reveal party Friday. I really think it is a boy but I'm usually wrong.

Labor signs: nope. Should I be? Yeah, didn't think so.

Belly button - in or out? In and giantly deep. Gross!

What I miss: Having energy and wine.

What I am looking forward to: Finding out what we're having!

Milestones: Getting past the worst of my nausea and headaches!

the beginning

March

I finish watching another horrible "scary" movie:::The Presence (it's awful, I do NOT recommend) as I wait for my husband to return from fixing the window at the pit we are trying to sell, I wait for my daughter to return from going to the circus with my folks, and my dogs lie by my side, loyally.

A little about me: I'm a teacher--of the special education kind. My passion is mental illness because I think we all suffer a bit. I think that it is something that many people choose to not deal with and that's bad, bad for us all. I work at a therapeutic school program and have for 10 years. I taught elementary at this school for 9 years when I was asked to move to secondary. I was nervous and scared, but I did it and after 8 months, I've never looked back.
